After having to cancel the first two shows of their latest tour, Of Monsters and Men took the stage of the Brooklyn Paramount for two sold out nights in a row for unforgettable performances of new and old favorites. Currently on tour for their latest album “All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade” the band is embarking on a worldwide tour that goes deep into 2026.
Led by vocalists and guitarists Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson, along with instrumentalists Brynjar Leifsson, Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, and Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, the Icelandic band formed in 2010 and quickly found mainstream success with the now multi-platinum song “Little Talks”, but they did not coast after success and continue to make passionate, heartfelt music that their fans worldwide love and connect with.
Along with OMAM on this tour is fellow Icelandic musician Arny Margret. The singer-songwriter is celebrating the release of her second album having been released earlier this year. Armed with just a guitar, and for one song a harmonica, Arny performs her deep emotional music warming audiences up for the ride of the main act.
With a setlist featuring a majority of their latest album, they are still able to pack it full of all the classics you want to hear. The band opted for a minimal stage design with mostly low key lighting allowing the artful performances to shine. With the massive success of “Little Talks”, while you might not know the deep library from Of Monsters And Men, that one song will get you in the door and what you will see in the night will make you a fan forever. For the longtime fans you’ll get to hear most of the new songs as well as a fine selection of the back catalog that shows the band at their best. The members themselves are charming and delightful, and the music is moving. Of Monsters and Men is Indie Folk at its finest and not to be missed.
