On August 14th, Wave to Earth lit up the stage at Kemba live in Columbus, Ohio, delivering an incredibly moving performance that left fans astounded. With a spectacular setlist filled with a variety of anthems and sentimental songs to sing along to, they performed such a beautiful, touching, and interactive show.
The concert opened with two of their biggest hits, accompanied by a complimentary intro that led their grand entrance onto the stage that instantly got the crowd amped up for the rest of the performance. “Annie” was such an impactful and memorable song live. During the song, the members each played solos and engaged in some of the best interactions of the night. The audience sang along in harmony and clapped to the beat, which only heightened the excitement for the encore that followed. The members really filled the stage with so much energy and a fully ranged set that showcased their dynamic vocal abilities. Even though their primary genre is indie with a more soothing sound, they curated such a powerful and lively performance.
Visually their entire set was absolutely spectacular– from the lighting to the stage design. The lighting design and background visuals during the show really stood out to me. The actual lighting setup on the stage created this gorgeous, bright, and captivating spotlight on each member of the band. The lighting over the crowd was equally beautiful, resembling stars forming constellations. The combination of intuitive lighting design and the band’s charismatic stage presence made the show unforgettable.
By the end of the night, it was clear that Wave to Earth had not only performed—they had created a full sensory experience. From the first chord to the final encore, the show was a perfect balance of sound, sight, and soul. The entire night was more than just a concert, but a whole adventure in itself – one that left a lasting impression not just as an audience member, but also as an artist myself. For fans, it was a dream come true and a magnificent evening to remember. For newcomers, it was a night filled with a riveting performance and a new discovery of something beautiful.
