“Those are the loudest voices in the United States. We’ve never heard it louder.” Scott Stapp told the thunderous audience at The Northwell at Jones Beach Theater during their performance of “Higher.” Since their reunion in 2023 after an eleven year hiatus, Creed has been enjoying a massive resurgence in popularity and relevance. After completing their widely sold out “Summer of 99” tour last year, they’re back again this year for the “Are You Ready?” tour to continue to bring back their beloved hard rock sound to audiences who have longed for the hard rock sound in the many years of the band’s absence.

First on deck for the evening was Mammoth, the modern rock band helmed by Wolfgang Van Halen. While Van Halen takes on recording duties solo, he enlists the touring members of Frank Sidoris and Jonathan Jourdan on guitars, Ronnie Ficarro on bass, and Garrett Whitlock on drums. The crew rocked the crowds with 2 new songs from the upcoming album The End due on October 24, as well as some classics from the first two albums. They are one opening act you would not want to miss.

Continuing to amp up the night was Daughtry. The lineup currently consisting of Chris Daughtry, Brian Craddock, Elvio Fernandes, Marty O’Brien, and Anthony Ghazel. Since his run on American Idol in 2006, Chris Daughtry has become a highly recognizable name in the hard rock scene having a number of Billboard charting singles and worked with numerous legends of the hard rock scene. That night he thrilled the audience with some classic covers, his well known songs, and a few songs from the upcoming two part EP Shock to the System with part one dropping on September 27.

By the time the sun went down on the outdoor stadium on the water, the sold out show had its entire audience in their seats ready for a night of classic hard rock. With all members back from their last iteration in the 2009 era, the crowd blew up when Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall, and Eric Freidman took the stage. There was an electric energy between the band and the people that night as every song was sung along to by most if not all in any direction. With a setlist that spans only their first three albums in their 1997-2001 eras, a fan of classic Creed will need to get a ticket to their local show now if it’s not sold out already!
